Elise Rose was a lawyer in Alaska for more years than she cares to count. She has always done art--sculpture, painting and drawing, and textiles. She has participated in numerous shows, including wearable art shows. She received the Theme Award at the 2012 Eye of the Beholder Wearable Art Show. Her work has been shown at the Anchorage International Gallery of Contemporary Art, the University of Alaska Anchorage Student Union Gallery and the Anchorage Museum of History and Art Earth, Fire and Fibre show. She has four grown children and a grandchild, who along with husband/studio assistant Mark Figura provide an unending source of inspiration and amusement.
